As part of Medeama Sporting Club’s Corporate and Community Engagement Day, the team made their first stop at the University of Mines and Technology’s Basic School (UBas) to engage the students and staff on the early hours of Friday, September 20, 2024 with a rousing welcome.

The visit which marked an important event on Medeama SC’s calendar achieved it ultimate goal of bringing sharing the love of the team across the hearts of the kids and youth within the Tarkwa enclaves as, the staff and students were full of ecstasy and joy seeing the playing body and technical team within their reach, evident in taking selfies and mobbing the players, as well as the welcome note by the Headmistress of the school, Miss Angela Kwesi.

“We are excited to to receive you (Medeama SC) in our midst this morning. We always hear and watch you mostly through our radios and televisions and we count it a great day especially among the kids to experience you today”, said the Headmistress.

“Today marks our Corporate and Community Engagement Day and I bring you greetings from the Board of Directors and Club President, Mr Moses Armah, who all would have loved to be here but on equally important assignment outside the country,” Brands and Marketing Officer, Ebenezer Kofi Aidoo said.

“We came to encourage you to take your studies serious, while keeping tabs of your talents in the extra curricula, particular those of you who are talented in sports. We are also here to have fun with you (students), and to tell you that all our home matches for this season are free for you, especially those of age 10-15 but with a condition that you come to the stadium with either your parents or a guardian, who can guarantee your safety since almost all out matches will be played here in Tarkwa at night.” Mr Aidoo revealed.

Mr Aidoo took the opportunity to present footballs and players/technical autographed Medeama SC replica to the Headmistress to be framed at her office. The Mistress received the gifts presented on behave of the Board and President with thanksgiving and called for several of such visits.

The players, students and staff of both Medeama and UBas fraternised with taking of selfies and ground pictures.
