ABOUT CLUB

Medeama Sporting Club is a Ghanaian professional football club based in Tarkwa, Western Region. The club currently competes in the Ghana Premier League. The club was formerly known as Kessben F.C. before changing its name to Medeama Sporting Club in January 2011. The club is very popular in the Western Region of Ghana and a member of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) and FIFA.
The club was established in 2008 as a third division club. The license of Medeama SC was completed in December 2010 and has since been a constant feature in the Ghana top-flight.
Medeama SC believes in the hybrid of the development of talented youth players from the local community and the purchase of experienced players to compete at the top level in Ghana and Africa. Despite being relatively young in the Ghana top-flight, Medeama SC has won the famous FA Cup twice, beating local giants Asante Kotoko twice to win the title. Medeama SC has earned a top-four- finish on two occasions in five years and is now hugely regarded as a powerhouse in Ghana Football. We have been one of the most disciplined teams in Ghana and won the Fair Play Award during the 2014/15 Ghana FA/Premier League Board gala. The success of the Club is based on the principles of cooperation, trust, humility, discipline, effort, and loyalty.

To provide the opportunity for the youth in Western Region and its surrounding areas to play football safe environment, enjoyable and allows them to develop and improve to the best of their ability. Continue to foster a friendly, constructive and inclusive environment for personal and professional development of all players and stakeholders which also provides opportunities to assist the wider community.

To be the Optimal Football Club across all levels of competitions, in Ghana and the CAF. We aim to be top-four- finish on two occasions and eventually win the GPL in five years and hugely regarded as a powerhouse in Ghana Football and very competitive in CAF. To be recognized as the most disciplined team in Ghana.

OUR STRATEGY

To attain our strategic plan objectives, we will continue to evolve our innovative foundational pillars, namely our Club SMART DNA, Organizational Structure, Club Business Model, Value for Money and Time.
