Medeama SC finished the GHALCA competition on a high note with a narrow 1-0 victory over Sekondi Eleven Wise at the Tarkwa and Aboso (TNA) Stadium. The win secured second place on the competition log with 6 points, reflecting our strong performance throughout the tournament.

First Half: The match began with both teams showcasing solid defensive play. We controlled the majority of possession, creating several promising opportunities. However, despite our best efforts, Sekondi Eleven Wise’s defense held firm, and the first half ended goalless.

Second Half: The second half continued in a similar vein, with both sides battling hard in midfield. As the clock ticked down, it seemed the match might end in a stalemate. However, in the 85th minute, Andy Kumi became the hero of the day. He expertly connected with a well-placed cross, heading the ball past the Sekondi Eleven Wise goalkeeper to give us the lead.

Despite a late push from Sekondi Eleven Wise, we remained resolute in defense and held on to our 1-0 advantage until the final whistle.

Final Score:

  • Medeama SC: 1 (Andy Kumi 85’)
  • Sekondi Eleven Wise: 0

Our victory is a testament to the team’s determination and resilience, and we look forward to carrying this momentum into the upcoming season.
