Versatile man Kamaradini Mamudu was crowned Man of the Match in Medeama’s 1-0 win over Legon Cities at home on Sunday.

The in-form defender cum wideman scored an impressive gravity-defying leap header in the 55th minute to separate the two teams at the Akoon Community park.

The right-back is the most in-form player at the club and shown consistency too amid an unflattering campaign taking shape after back-to-back wins.

The defending champions are now back in the top-four with 40 points,  nine behind leaders Samartex with eight games to end the season.

Medeama have now won their two matches following their 2-0 win at home to Hearts of Oak last Wednesday.

The Mauve and Yellow appear to be finding their mojo, and on time too with the Ghanaian top-flight set for a home stretch.

Nebojsa Kapor’s side were made to work hard for the victory after the two teams ended the first half 0-0 with few chances in-between.

Medeama will continue to push for the defence of the league title despite trailing leaders Samartex nine points.

The champions travel to Berekum to battle Chelsea in our next match before hosting Asante Kotoko at the Akoon Community park.
