Tarkwa-Nsuaem MP George Mireku Duker has strongly thrown his weight behind Medeama ahead of their CAF Champions League group stage campaign.
Duker was present with the team in Conakry when they secured a historic qualification to the group stage, despite a 2-1 defeat against Horoya in the second leg, advancing 4-3 on aggregate.
Impressed by the club’s achievement, Duker is now backing them to excel in the group stage and effectively represent Ghana on the continental stage. During a press briefing on Monday, he emphasized the commitment of the club to leave a lasting impression in the Champions League.
Duker stated, “We are going to have our presence felt in the Champions League. We are urging each and every supporter to have hope in this team. We know that Ghana football will be energized starting with Medeama.”
The draw for the group stage is scheduled for October 6, and fans are eagerly awaiting to see who Medeama will face as they embark on this historic journey in the CAF Champions League.
