The champions presented the Ghana Premier League title to AngloGold Ashanti, Iduapriem.

The presentation of the league trophy was done on Thursday, June 15, by vice board chairman Mr. Samuel Sackey and Head of Communication Patrick Akoto.

The team stormed the office premises of the multiple open-pit operations office in Iduapriem, Tarkwa, all smiles after conquering the Ghana Premier League just last weekend.

A win against Tamale City on the final weekend of the league saw the Mauve and Yellow outfit being crown Ghana Premier League Champions at Akoon Park on Sunday, June 11.

The historic league triumph has been celebrated by the people of Tarkwa. It has given massive excitement to Anglogold Ashanti and other companies.

Next season, Medeama SC will be participating in the CAF Champions League as Ghana’s sole representative.

The team will also hope to mount a strong defense for the Ghana Premier League title.
