Medeama stand-in captain Kwasi Donsu has been nominated for the Midfielder of the Season after a superb run of form last term.

The midfield supremo is among three top players nominated for the midfield category.

Donsu, an iconic Ghanaian free-kick expert, clocked 32 appearances for the Mauve and Yellows, scoring two goals and providing six assists in a memorable season for the experienced midfielder.

The former Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC loanee is facing immense competition from two youngsters – King Archerson and Prosper Owusu Boakye.

Archerson, a promoted player from the club’s developmental squad – Rospak FC, enjoyed a tremendous debut campaign in the top-flight.

He earned rave reviews for his sterling display against Hearts of Oak at the Akoon Park – a performance which largely brought him to the limelight. He made 14 appearances – one more than another contender Prosper Owusu Boakye.

Boakye, turned an instant sensation when he got his chance in the team, scoring a goal in the process as the club finished a respected second position on the log.

The second edition of the Medeama Awards will take place at the famous Luxury Touch Hotel in Tarkwa on Friday September 2, 2022.

The Award scheme is aimed at honouring outstanding players and officials of the club in the year under review.
