Medeama SC are delighted to announce the signing of Ivorian international Jean Vital Ourega on a two-year deal.

Vital, 26, who is expected to play a major part of our second half of the 2021/2022 GPL season joined us from Dr Congo side, TP Mazembe, as we set our lenses on the clinching the GPL trophy for the first time.

Madeama SC becomes the second Ghanaian premier league side Ourega will be featuring for, after his spell with our Regional rivals, Karela United FC between 2017 and 2019. At Karela, he enjoyed significant success playing in the Ghanaian top-flight, bringing his energy and physicality to the team with 35 appearances, 3 goals, 13 assists and 4 MVPs to his name. His exploits in the famous 2017/2018 Anas exposé truncated league.

The Ivorian comes with a rich vein of experience having played for Ivorian sides African Sports and AS Denguele; Zambia’s Buildcon FC; Rayon Sports of Rwanda and Congolese giants TP Mazembe and is expected to hit the ground running readily.

He is expected to strengthen the depth of the squad, filling the void created after the exit of Justice Blay to Kotoko, after refusing to extend his contract.
