Medeama Sporting Club have announced their starting lineup for tonight’s Ghana Premier League Week 27 showdown against Dreams FC at the TnA Stadium, with Head Coach Ibrahim Tanko making notable adjustments following last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Hearts of Oak. The Mauve and Yellow are set to welcome the FA Cup holders at 6:00 PM, aiming to return to winning ways in front of their passionate home crowd.

The Starting XI Against Dreams FC

Tanko has named a strong side to face Dreams FC, with the lineup as follows:

On the bench, Medeama have options including Jabal Appiah, Abban, Kobina, Dzakpasu, Boison, Salam, and Prince, providing depth and flexibility for the match.

Last weekend’s starting XI against Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium featured several switches:

Goalkeeper Jabal Adams makes way for Felix Kyei in goal. The backline sees no changes with Coach Tanko keeping trust in Kamaradini Mamudu, Fatawu Sulemana, who will be on in his armband, Nurudeen Abdulai and Mubarik Yussif to keep Medeama from conceding goals.

Prosper Boakye and Emmanuel Owusu maintained their spot in the midfield, with Manuel Mantey replacing Godknows Dzapkasu to dictate the rhythm of the game.

Up top, all three attackers who started against Hearts of Oak last Sunday, Kelvin Nkrumah, Michael Sarpong and Richard Appiah were all missing from Tanko’s starting line up, with both Kelvin and Sarpong not included in the matchday squad. In their places, Kingsley Braye, Derrick Fordjour and Bernardino Tetteh lead the line for the former GPL Champions. Young sensation, Richard Appiah will however start from the bench.

A Tactical Shift for Home Glory

The changes reflect Tanko’s response to the Hearts defeat, where Medeama struggled to convert chances despite a strong second-half push. Bringing in Fordjour as a starter adds dynamism in midfield, while the defensive adjustments aim to tighten up after Amponsah’s long-range strike. Braye and Tetteh’s inclusion up top suggests a focus on physicality and movement to break down Dreams FC, who are coming off consecutive away wins.
