The forward’s historic heroics, being the first to score hattrick in a single game at the new TnA Stadium earned him a standing ovation when he was substituted in the 80th minute alongside Derrick Fordjour with Abdul Salam and Richard Appiah coming on to manage the closing stages. Dreams FC struggled to create chances but whenever they came close, goalkeeper Felix Kyei and Medeama’s backline stood resolute.
The final nail in Dreams’ coffin came in the 89th minute when Medeama were awarded a second penalty after a David Boison’s solo effort ended him being fouled in the box.
