By the 13th minute, Medeama had settled into the game, creating good chances while maintaining composure at the back alongside Hearts. However, the tide turned in the 22nd minute when Amponsah unleashed a stunning long-range effort to put Hearts ahead 1-0. Medeama responded with vigor, as Kelvin Nkrumah made dangerous runs in search of a leveling goal. Despite their efforts, the score remained 1-0 at halftime, with Hearts holding a slender lead.
