Captain Kofi Asmah has been ruled out of Medeama SC’s match against Nsoatreman FC today due to a knee injury.
The central defender, who played a marginal role since the start of the 2024/2025 season, marked his major return through hard work and to command starter role on day 1 of the year 2025 in Medeama’s week 14 outstanding game against Karela United, scoring the only goal of the match to win Medeama the maximum points at stake.
The young skipper kept his spot against Kotoko in the matchday 16 encounter of the Ghana Premier League at the TnA Stadium. He had to be substituted in the 85th minute for Azaria Fordjour due to an injury he sustained on his right knee.
The player has since been closely monitored by the Medeama Sporting Club medical team, who recommended the player undergo a Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan at a medical facility in Accra to examine the extent of the injury and the needed treatment.
We wish our captain a speedy return.
