Medeama SC head coach Nebojsa Kapor has provided updates on the team’s injury situation ahead of their crucial Week 12 Ghana Premier League encounter with Young Apostles. Speaking during the pre-match briefing, Kapor revealed that Nana Kofi Babil, who sustained an injury in the last match against Bibiani Gold Stars, remains doubtful for the upcoming game.

Additionally, David Boison Frimpong, who was substituted in the second half of the Gold Stars match, has resumed training with the squad and is expected to be available for selection.

However, Kapor confirmed that players like Kobina Amoah and Ebenezer Ackahbi, though progressing well in their rehabilitation, will not be risked for the Young Apostles fixture. “The players are showing good progress, but we are prioritizing their long-term fitness and won’t rush their return,” Kapor stated.

Godfred Abban, another key player, has also made strides in his recovery and is set to resume rehabilitation soon. “We’re managing the squad carefully, and I’m confident the team we field will give a strong performance,” Kapor added.

Medeama Sporting Club, who are ranked 5th with 18 points’ away match against 10th ranked Young Apostles kicks off at 3.00 PM on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the Wenchi Sports Stadium.
