Medeama Sporting Club’s Corporate and Community Engagement Day last Friday could have been any better without a visit to Lee’s Kingdom Kids Montessori School at Cape Town in Tarkwa, as the team was received in a heroic welcome atmosphere.

The team got to the school’s premises around noon time with the students and staff occupying the corridors of all the three floors of the school’s building singing to the official song of Medeama SC being played on a sound system, with a teacher serving as a hype-man, and a photographer in action.

A staff of the school welcomed the team, while sharing to the kids Medeama’s exploits in 2022/23 GPL title fight and the group stage berth of the club last season.

The Head of Communications of the club, Bismark Karikari to his turn to introduce the Management Members present, the Technical Team, the captains for the season and the entire playing body before handing over to the Brands and Marketing Manager, Ebenezer Aidoo to talk on the purpose of the visit, encourage the students to be serious with their books and also build their God-given talents.

“We are here to encourage you to study hard and also to tell you that, not all of you will be able to end up in the corporate world. Some of you will be making it big through your God-given talents like football. Don’t let your talents die out but ensure you build on it along side your books if you aspire to be professional footballers to play for Medeama, the Black Stars and other clubs outside Ghana. Sports is a huge platform to make it in life and we hope some of you become future stars. That is why the President and Board of Directors of Medeama SC have decided to allow free entry for all school going kids between ages 10 and 15 to improve your experience and excitement in sports. We also hope you all grow to love Medeama and to support the team”, Mr Kofi Aidoo echoed.

The owner of the school who was also there to receive the team was presented with footballs and replica jersey which were signed by all the players and technical team members.

Coach Kapor used the opportunity to thank the kids, who were described as incredible by the Bosnian and also called on them to come to the TnA Stadium on matchdays with their guardians, since he was of the believe that the team will be much stronger with their vociferous supports.

The Second Vice Captain, Fatawu Sulemana, speaking on behalf of the playing body admonished the kids to pay attention to the details of their teachers and also assured them of the Ghana Premier League title this season.

The activities would end without a dancing showpiece between the players and students of Lee’s Kingdom Kids School; as well as selfies, photo and autograph signing sections as the kids were all over with their books, sheets of papers and other materials for them.
