Kobina Amoah and Godfred Abban have both been nominated for the Ghana Premier League’s April Goal of the Month award for their strikes against Hearts of Oak.
The Mauve and Yellow scored two high-quality goals to clinch victory against the Phobians at the Akoon Community Park, with Amoah’s superb free kick and Abban’s long-range left-footed strike – are up for the prize.
The goals have been chosen as two of the best scored in the Premier League in April as the defending champions strolled to a 2-0 win over the Phobians on April 10 in Tarkwa.
Kobinah, a centre-back scored a spectacular free kick to give Medeama the lead against Hearts before Godfred Abban put the icing on the cake with a piledriver outside the box to seal a 2-0 win for the champions against the capital side.
The two goals go up against Salims Adams, who also scored a long-range shot against Berekum Chelsea at the Accra Sports Stadium.
