Medeama defender Abdul Fatawu Hamidu was adjudged the Man of the Match in the side’s 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.

The left-back scored a brilliant free-kick to separate the two sides at the Akoon Community Park.

Despite the goal, the youngster impressed heavily by turning in the shift as the home side bagged maximum points.

Fatawu Hamidu appears to have taken over the left-back role since the departure of Fatawu Sulemana and has been impressive.

The two-time FA Cup winners dictated the pace of the game but met a strong defensive Chelsea network which thwarted several efforts.
