Medeama came from behind to grab a 3-2 win at home against Real Tamale United, with Kwasi Donsu scoring twice to snatch the win for the home side. 

RTU star Issah Kuka also grabbed a brace for the Pride of the North. 

he Yellow and Mauves turned the Match Week 2 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League campaign into their direction as they sat home at the Akoon Park to defeat Real Tamale United by 3-2. 

Medeama’s broke the virginity of the game in the 41st minute through their skipper, Kwasi Donsu which was later cancelled by a resilient Real Tamale United side with a game performance that earned them the maximum points.

Both sides missed out on the few good scoring opportunities that came their way in a keenly contested first half that ended 1-0 in favor of the home side.

The second half saw a different away side that looked more energetic and hungry for the equalizer, dominating the home side with their physical fortitude. 

Coach Baba Nuhu and his men responded to the challenge, going in search of the equalizer, but they had to wait until the 52nd minute for Issah Kuka’s opportunistic finish being the difference. 

The goal re-energized the visiting Northern Blues as Issah Kuka got his brace in the 58th minute on the day as RTU took the game from Medeama. 

Kofi Asmah and Kwasi Donsu combined to score the second and third goals respectively for Medeama in the 78th and 89th minute. 

The win catapulted the Yellow and Mauves into the 1st position with 6 points and the Pride of the North are lurking on the 12th spot with 1 point on the league log.
