Talented trio Kofi Asmah, King Archerson and Prosper Boakye Owusu have been nominated for the Discovery of the Season after a breakthrough campaign last term.

The three players – who were promoted from the side’s developmental squad – Rospak FC, earned a deserved nomination after a superb run of form in the year under review.

They will face-off to determine the Discovery Player of the Season – in what appears a close-contest involving the three players.

Centre-back Kofi Asmah – enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at the club after he captained the side’s developmental squad before earning promotion to the senior side.

Asmah was drafted into the senior team at the start of last season and made an instant impact at the club. He made 34 appearances in all competitions last season for the Mauve and Yellows – the highest by any player.

Archerson, a promoted player from the club’s developmental squad – Rospak FC, enjoyed a tremendous debut campaign in the top-flight.

He earned rave reviews for his sterling display against Hearts of Oak at the Akoon Park – a performance which largely brought him to the limelight. He made 14 appearances – one more than another contender Prosper Owusu Boakye.

Boakye, turned an instant sensation when he got his chance in the team, scoring a goal in the process as the club finished a respected second position on the log.

The second edition of the Medeama Awards will take place at the famous Luxury Touch Hotel in Tarkwa on Friday September 2, 2022.

The Award scheme is aimed at honouring outstanding players and officials of the club in the year under review.
