Medeama Sporting Club will on Tuesday, May 24 return to their training base at the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) ahead of their week 31 match against Asante Kotoko.
The team was given two days off after their 2:1 away at the Accra Sports Stadium over Great Olympics last Saturday.
Medeama SC are second on the league with a just six points behind leaders, Asante Kotoko, who are their next opponents and are hell bent on winning at the Akoon Community Park on Sunday, May 29th to close the gap to three points.
Coach Umar Rabi’s side have gone five straight matches without defeat, winning three against RTU, Ashanti Gold and Olympics and drawing away with Aduana Stars and Berekum Chelsea in the process. Thus 11 out of possible 15 points.
A win over the Kumasi based side will not only cement Medeama SC’s top 4 ambitions but will position the “We never give up” side an opportunity to go for the ultimate should Kotoko slip further in their remaining matches.
Medeama lost by a goal to nil when they played Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium in the first round and would want a revenge over the Warriors at Tarkwa.
