Ghana Premier League 5th position side Medeama SC will host Accra Heart of Oak at the Akoon community Park on matchday 6 of the Ghana Premier League with hopes of reviving their season. 

The match week six encounter was postponed because the Phobians participated in the CAF inter-club competitions which they failed to make it into the group stages after losing in the final playoffs of the Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively

The mauves and yellow who ended the winning run of Aduana FC in a 1-0 win at home traveled to Obuasi to inflict a 1-0 win over AshantiGold on Monday with Ebenezer Ackahbi scoring the only goal of the match at the Len Clay stadium.

The draw with berekum Chelsea lifted Medeama from the table to 5th with 19 points – 7 points behind leader Asante Kotoko. The home side has not scored more than 2 in the entire season with the only 2 goal margin coming against Karela United on Match Day four.

Seasoned campaigners Amed Toure, Prince Opoku Agyemang, Kwasi Donsu, and Rashid Nortey have yet to lite up the competition and that has generally affected the performance of the team in the League.
