Evans Augustine Adotey has provided team news ahead of Medeama’s trip to Dormaa Ahenkro to face Aduana Stars on Sunday September 24, 2023.
The gaffer confirmed at a press conference on Friday that at least four key players will miss the match day 2 match of the Ghana Premier League at the Agyemang Badu Park as he asses his squad for the long trip.
He also stated that Kudakwashe Mahachi is available for selection after being named in the travelling squad.
JONATHAN SOWAH
The striker has been ruled out of the match due to a minor injury. Sowah scored in our 2-2 draw at home to Accra Lions but suffered the setback.
DERRICK FORDJOUR
The winger has also been ruled out of the trip to Dorma due to an injury. He missed the 2-2 stalemate at home to Accra Lions after failing to recover in time. He is expected to intensify his recovery this week.
MANUEL MANTEY
The club’s midfield ‘Machine’ is also out of the match against Aduana Stars due to an injury. The talented midfielder picked up a knock during our match against Accra Lions at home on Wednesday. He is however, expected to be fit in time for the return leg fixture of the CAF Champions League tie against Horoya AC next weekend.
THEOPHILUS ANOBAH
The wideman will miss his second successive Premier League game due to an injury. Anobah missed the season’s opener against Lions and will be unavailable against Aduana Stars due to the setback.
KUDAKWASHE MAHACHI
The Zimbabwe international makes the traveling squad for the first time since his arrival in Tarkwa. Mahachi has been named in the Medeama match day squad for the first time since his arrival at the club. The forward has not been involved due to paperwork issues but with everything sorted, he is now available for selection.
KWADWO AMOAKO
The experienced right-back returns to the squad for the Premier League trip to Dormaa Ahenkro for the first time this season. He missed the opening day 2-2 stalemate at home to Accra Lions. He was also not part of the squad that beat Horoya AC 3-1 in a CAF Champions League first leg eliminator in Cape Coast last Sunday. The gaffer has included him in the travelling squad to the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park.
