Medeama Sporting Club have strengthened the squad ahead of the 2026/27 season with the acquisition of highly-rated right-back Ebenezer Adade, who has signed a three-year contract with the reigning Ghana Premier League champions.
Adade joins the Mauve and Yellow from 2025/26 MTN FA Cup runners-up Dreams FC, bringing with him valuable domestic and continental experience as Medeama continue to assemble a formidable squad for the defence of their league title and participation in the CAF Champions League.
Widely regarded as one of the finest full-backs in the Ghana Premier League, the former Cheetah FC defender has earned plaudits for his defensive solidity, attacking instincts and versatility. Comfortable operating both as a traditional right-back and on the right wing, Adade combines pace, technical quality and tireless work rate to influence play at both ends of the pitch.
The 24-year-old was a key member of the Dreams FC side that enjoyed a historic run to the semi-finals of the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup, an experience expected to prove invaluable as Medeama prepare to compete once again on Africa's biggest club stage.
Speaking after completing his move to Tarkwa, Adade expressed his excitement at joining the champions and outlined his ambitions for the years ahead.
> "Joining Medeama Sporting Club is a major step in my career and one I am extremely proud to make. This is a club with great ambition, a winning mentality and passionate supporters. After speaking with the management and technical team, I became convinced this was the right place for me to continue my development and challenge myself at the highest level."
The defender is determined to make an immediate impact as the Club embarks on another demanding campaign.
> "My goal is to contribute to the team's success from day one. I want to use the experience I gained in continental football to help the Club in the CAF Champions League while giving everything to ensure we successfully defend the Ghana Premier League title. I am ready to work hard, fight for this badge and create unforgettable moments with my new teammates and our supporters."
Adade's arrival further underlines Medeama Sporting Club's determination to build a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts, with the Club continuing to add quality, experience and depth ahead of what promises to be an exciting 2026/27 campaign.
His proven pedigree, continental experience and ability to influence matches from the right flank are expected to make him a key figure in Coach Ibrahim Tanko's plans as the Mauve and Yellow seek sustained success both at home and across Africa.
The 24 year old defender will immediately join his teammates as they travel to Ivory Coast for their preseason.
