Dominic Amponsah signs for Medeama SC until 2029

We are delighted to announce the signing of exciting young attacker Dominic Amponsah on a three-year contract.

The 20-year-old joins the Mauve and Yellows on a free transfer from Georgian side FC Dila Gori as Medeama continues to strengthen the squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Capable of operating both as an attacking midfielder and an auxiliary striker, Amponsah arrives in Tarkwa with a reputation for creativity, tireless work ethic and a keen eye for goal. The youngster began his football journey through the ranks of Accra Lions FC before earning a move to Europe, where he featured for FC Dila Gori.

Blessed with technical ability and an instinct for unlocking opposition defences, Amponsah is expected to add another dimension to Medeama’s attack as the club prepares to defend its Ghana Premier League title and compete in the upcoming CAF Champions League.

For the talented midfielder, the move to Tarkwa represents an opportunity to relaunch his career and rediscover the form that once made him one of Ghana’s brightest prospects.

Speaking after completing his move, Amponsah expressed his excitement at joining the champions and outlined his ambitions for the season ahead.
