Midfield talisman Salim Adams delivered a decisive performance on Sunday, scoring twice to power Medeama Sporting Club to a commanding victory over Bibiani Gold Stars and open up a five-point gap at the top of the Ghana Premier League.

Adams set the tone in the 20th minute, calmly converting from the penalty spot after Kelvin Obeng’s goal-bound effort struck the outstretched arm of a Gold Stars defender inside the box. The early breakthrough gave the Mauve and Yellows control, but Adams was not done yet.

On the stroke of halftime (45+1), the midfield engine doubled Medeama’s advantage in style, curling home a precise direct free kick after Manuel Mantey was fouled just outside the penalty area. It was a moment of quality that underlined his growing influence and composure in key situations.

With a two-goal cushion, Medeama produced a disciplined second-half display—controlling possession, limiting threats, and expertly managing the game to secure all three points without alarm.

The victory lifts Medeama to 56 points, strengthening their hold on the summit, with Gold Stars now trailing by five points in second place.

Attention now turns to a midweek trip to Berekum, where Medeama are scheduled to face Berekum Chelsea in a rescheduled Week 30 fixture—originally postponed following the tragic passing of their player, Dominic Frimpong.

With momentum firmly on their side, the Mauve and Yellows continue their charge with confidence and control as the title race intensifies.
