Medeama Sporting Club have named their starting XI for the Week 23 Ghana Premier League fixture against Samartex 1996 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, with Nana Kofi Babil handed a starting role as the Mauve and Yellows seek a return to winning ways.

Coach Ibrahim Tanko has made a notable adjustment to his attacking setup, drafting Kofi Babil into the starting line-up, while Kingsley Braye drops to the bench. The reshuffle signals intent as Medeama aim to reignite their momentum following two league games without a win.

In another key development, striker Kelvin Obeng has been named in the matchday squad for the first time since joining the club. The forward begins from the bench, offering an additional attacking option should Medeama require firepower as the contest unfolds.

Felix Kyei retains his place in goal, with captain Mubarik Yussif marshaling the backline. Fatawu Sulemana, Jacob Mensah, and Osei Yaw form part of the defensive structure.

A trio network of Salim Adams, Fuzy Taylor and Manuel Mantey will bridge the defense and attack in the midfield, while Nana Kofi Babil and Kelvin Nkrumah provide width and attacking thrust.

Abdul Salam leads the line as Medeama look to make a strong statement away from home.

On the bench, Medeama boast depth and flexibility, including Braye and Obeng, alongside Saeed, Baffoe, Fordjour, Ebenezer, Obeng, Sackey, Prince and Emmanuel — options capable of influencing proceedings at crucial moments.

With Medeama yet to record a victory at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, Sunday’s encounter presents an opportunity to change that narrative while protecting their advantage at the top of the league table.

All eyes now turn to Samreboi as the Mauve and Yellows step onto the pitch determined to deliver a response.
