Medeama Sporting Club winger Derrick Fordjour has sent a strong message of belief and confidence to the club’s teeming supporters ahead of Friday’s week 21 Ghana Premier League clash away to Nations FC at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, Abrankese.
Speaking during the club’s mandatory pre-match media engagement on Wednesday, the in-form winger was emphatic about Medeama’s ambitions on the road.
“We will return to Tarkwa with the three points, or at least a point. We are able to deliver in Kumasi whenever we play there, especially since I joined the club,” Fordjour assured.
Fordjour’s confidence is backed by form and experience. His most recent visit to the Ashanti Region came on matchday 12 against Asante Kotoko on November 30, 2025, where he scored Medeama’s opening goal in a thrilling 2–2 draw at the Baba Yara Stadium. The winger also found the back of the net last weekend in Medeama’s 3–1 victory over Karela United in matchday 20, underlining his growing influence in the team’s attacking setup.
Medeama head into the Nations FC encounter riding an impressive run of form, having gone 17 consecutive Premier League matches unbeaten and 19 games without defeat in all competitions. The Mauve and Yellows currently sit atop the league table, determined to extend their dominance and further strengthen their title push.
With confidence high within the camp and key players hitting top form, Medeama travel to Abrankese focused, motivated, and united in purpose — intent on returning home with a positive result to keep the momentum firmly alive.
