Medeama Sporting Club will face FC Samartex 1996 in the Round of 16 of the 2025 MTN FA Cup, following the official draw, with the encounter scheduled to take place at the TnA Stadium in February.
The Mauve and Yellows have earned a place in the last 16 through a confident and composed FA Cup campaign, underlining their intent to challenge strongly on all fronts this season.
The Road So Far
Medeama’s journey in this year’s competition began in the Round of 64, where the Tarkwa-based side brushed aside Rospak SC with a commanding 4–1 victory to announce our presence in the tournament with Nana Kofi Babil scoring three goals in the first half.
That was followed by a high-quality performance in the Round of 32, as Medeama edged past Bibiani Gold Stars with a 3–1 win at the TnA Stadium. A sensational hat-trick from Kingsley Braye sealed progression and reaffirmed the team’s attacking depth and ambition.
Next Challenge: 6th - 9th February, 2026.
The draw now sets up a compelling last-16 fixture against Samartex 1996, as Medeama look to continue the club's push for a place in the latter stages of the competition.
As two-time MTN FA Cup winners (2013, 2015), the Mauve and Yellows will be eager to draw on our experience and home support when Samartex arrive in Tarkwa.
Match details, including the confirmed date and kick-off time, will be announced in due course.
