Medeama Sporting Club return to the TnA Stadium this Sunday, January 25, with a clear objective — protect our lead at the summit of the Ghana Premier League and settle unfinished business against Karela United in a highly anticipated Week 20 fixture.

Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM, as the Mauve and Yellows look to build on an outstanding run of form that has defined the 2025/26 campaign so far.

This encounter carries extra significance. Karela United remain the only side to have beaten Medeama this season, claiming a narrow 1–0 victory in Week 3. Since that setback, Medeama have responded in emphatic fashion, going 18 matches unbeaten in all competitions, a run that underlines the team’s growth, discipline, and championship mentality.

We head into Sunday’s fixture firmly top of the GPL table with 40 points, seven clear of our closest challengers, and chasing a fourth straight victory in 2026 across all competitions. Recent wins over Hearts of Oak, Bibiani Gold Stars (FA Cup), Young Apostles, and Vision FC have further strengthened belief within the squad and the Tarkwa faithful.

Under the guidance of Coach Ibrahim Tanko, Medeama have combined tactical intelligence with defensive solidity and attacking efficiency, turning the TnA Stadium into a fortress where opponents find little joy. Goalkeeper Felix Kyei, who has already kept nine clean sheets this season, has openly stated the team’s determination to correct what happened in the first round.

Sunday’s clash promises intensity, purpose, and a charged atmosphere as Medeama seek to extend our dominance and tighten our grip on the league summit.
