Salim Adams has revealed that intense training-ground routines and on-field understanding played a key role in his match-winning goal against Accra Hearts of Oak at the TnA Stadium.
The midfielder calmly slotted home in the 75th minute after a surging run down the right flank by substitute Richard Appiah, who delivered a precise cutback into the box. Salim arrived perfectly to convert — a moment he says was no accident.
“That goal was all about training,” Salim explained after the match.
“We work on those movements every day. When Richard made that run, I already knew what he was going to do next.”
According to Salim, anticipation and positional discipline were decisive.
“I positioned myself early and trusted that the ball would come. That understanding between us is something we’ve built on the training ground, and it paid off at the right moment.”
The goal not only sealed a crucial victory but also symbolised Medeama’s growing cohesion and tactical clarity under Coach Ibrahim Tanko. It was a moment of calm execution amid pressure — reflecting the confidence and structure within the squad.
As Medeama concluded the first round of the season at the summit of the GPL table, Salim’s insight offered a glimpse into the detailed preparation and unity driving the club’s success.
