Head coach Ibrahim Tanko has named a competitive 20-man squad for Medeama SC’s Week 12 trip to Kumasi to face Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday (Kick-off: 4:00pm).

The gaffer has selected an experienced blend of starters and impact substitutes as he prepares his side for one of the season’s biggest challenges. Notable in the selection is the continued trust in the spine of the team with Felix Kyei between the sticks and Salim Adams and Fuzzy Taylor marshaling the midfield.

Starting XI (as named by Coach Tanko)

Felix Kyei (GK); Mubarik Yussif (c); Desmond Baffoe; Fuzy Taylor; Jacob Mensah; Derrick Fordjour; Kamaradini Mamudu; Kelvin Nkrumah; Prince Owusu; Salim Adams; Abdul Salam.

Bench

Manuel Mantey, Jabal Adams, Kingsley Braye, Nana Kofi Babil, Rich Sackey, Godknows Dzakpasu, Nyarko Henry, Osei Yaw, Paul Yeboah.

Injury Update — Emmanuel Owusu

Creative midfielder Emmanuel Owusu misses out after sustaining an injury in last weekend’s home draw with Bechem United. The medical team will continue his rehabilitation and the coach confirmed a cautious approach to his return, prioritising the player’s long-term fitness.

Focus & Objective

Medeama's mission in Kumasi is a determination to pick up maximum points and protect their place among the top four of the Ghana Premier League table.
