Medeama Sporting Club produced a commanding performance under the floodlights at the TnA Stadium, defeating Rospak SC 4–1 in the Round of 64 of the MTN FA Cup to secure qualification to the next stage of the competition.

A blistering first-half display saw the Mauve and Yellow wrap up the contest early, with Nana Kofi Babil scoring a sensational hat-trick, and Kingsley Braye opening the floodgates with an early strike.

Babil struck again with confidence, registering his second of the night and stretching the lead to three.

The forward completed a stunning first-half hat-trick, sending the Medeama fans into a frenzy.

A dominant half with free-flowing football and clinical finishing from Coach Tanko’s charges.

SECOND HALF: Medeama Control, Rospak Pull One Back

With the job largely done, Medeama reduced the tempo in the second period, shifting focus to managing the game and rotating energy ahead of upcoming league duties.

Rospak SC capitalized on a rare lapse and scored a consolation through Gabriel Tetteh, but it did little to alter the outcome.

COACH TANKO’S REACTION

After the match, Coach Ibrahim Tanko expressed satisfaction with his squad’s response—especially from players who have not enjoyed regular minutes this season.

“I’m pleased with the performance and the output. The players showed hunger, discipline, and tactical understanding. This win is very important for our progress in the FA Cup.”
