Medeama SC will be without two influential players — Prince Owusu and Kelvin Nkrumah — for Sunday’s Ghana Premier League Matchday 10 encounter against Eleven Wonders at the University of Ghana Stadium.

The attacking duo has been excused from the squad as they travel with the Black Stars for an international assignment against Japan and Korea Republic, ruling them out of the crucial away fixture. Their absence will come as a blow to the Mauve and Yellow, who are targeting a return to winning ways on the road.

Meanwhile, winger Emmanuel Owusu is also unavailable after sustaining an injury in last weekend’s hard-fought draw against Aduana FC in Dormaa. He was forced off during the closing stages of the game and has since not recovered fully to make the matchday squad.

In a positive development, defender Yusif Mubarik returns to the squad after spending over a month on the sidelines. Mubarik picked up an injury in the Matchday 4 clash against Nations FC on October 5, 2025, where he had to be substituted after 63 minutes. His recovery comes at a crucial moment as Coach Ibrahim Tanko looks to strengthen the team’s defensive options for the demanding fixture.

Despite the absences, Medeama SC remains focused and motivated heading into their third consecutive away game, determined to secure maximum points and maintain pressure at the top of the league table.
