Medeama SC returns to action this Sunday with a crucial Matchday 10 fixture against Eleven Wonders at the University of Ghana Stadium, kicking off at 3:00 p.m.
The Mauve and Yellow enter their third consecutive away match determined to end their winless streak on the road since their impressive opening-day victory over Young Apostles. Since then, the team has endured mixed fortunes away from home, suffering defeat to Karela United before battling to back-to-back draws against Hohoe United and Aduana FC.
Despite these results, Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s men remain firmly in the title race and currently sit second on the league table with 18 points, just behind the league leaders. Medeama’s defensive structure, teamwork, and improved consistency continue to position them as strong contenders in this year’s Ghana Premier League campaign.
Eleven Wonders find themselves at the opposite end of the standings with only 2 points, but Medeama expects a tough challenge as Wonders fight to revive their season. With pressure mounting on the home side, the Mauve and Yellow will need to remain focused, disciplined, and clinical to take all three points.
Medeama will be looking to build on the solid performance displayed in last weekend’s goalless draw against Aduana FC in Dormaa — a match that showcased the team’s resilience, defensive maturity, and late attacking threat. A victory in Accra would provide the perfect response and reinforce Medeama’s ambitions for the season.
The atmosphere is charged, the stakes are high, and the Mauve and Yellow are ready.
