Medeama Sporting Club is proud to announce our nomination for the “Most Vibrant Club on Social Media” at the upcoming 2025 Ghana Football Awards, a testament to our innovative approach to engaging fans and building a digital community. This recognition underscores the club’s commitment to leveraging social media to connect with supporters, share the Mauve and Yellow story, and amplify our presence and brand in the football landscape.
The nomination was showcased in an official announcement by the organizers and across social media platforms, featuring the iconic Medeama crest alongside those of our other two competitors. This accolade celebrates the club’s creative content, active fan engagement, and dynamic online presence, which have made the Mauve and Yellows a standout in Ghanaian football. The awards highlight excellence both on and off the pitch, and Medeama’s inclusion is a proud moment for the Tarkwa-based outfit.
A Legacy of Digital Excellence
Medeama’s journey to this nomination reflects years of dedication to building a vibrant digital community across all social media platforms. Since its rise in the Ghana Premier League, the club has leveraged platforms like X (@MedeamaSC), Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok to share live match updates, behind-the-scenes footage, interactive campaigns, pre-match and post-match interviews, match highlights, training, and matchday experiences, not leaving out the spotlights for peals of laughter with quality pictures and videos. This nomination is a testament to the recognition of excellence and the need for extra standards in the future.
This nomination acknowledges the club’s ability to turn every match into a shared experience, amplified by a passion for the beautiful game, affirming the Club President, Mr Moses Armah’s commitment to investing in the Communication Departments with modern tools and equipment to perform their assignments.
Medeama SC prides itself in its large following on all social media handles, plus being the most followed Ghanaian Club on TikTok.
A Team Effort and continuity
“This feat according to signifies harmonious team spirit among members of the Communication Team, which I head currently. I would like to thank members of the team, Nana Effa Asare, James K. Bawa, and Kojo Sassah for their efforts but single out the young man who pulls all the plugs when our digital and media engagements are put on the lenses, Akwasi Osei Afriyie. He endures sleepless nights, night travels, and visits every training session just to get a quality job done.
“I would however be ungrateful not to credit my former boss, Patrick Akoto, who is now with the GFA for laying the solid foundation on which the department is riding now. Despite not being with the club in an official role, he still directs and offers valuable insights for growth.
“To Mr Moses Armah, we believe your investment in the Communication Department would only make a lot of meaning when we eventually win this award on June 14, 2025,” said the Acting Communication Head for Medeama Sporting Club, Bismark Karikari.
