Member of Parliament for Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency and Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Land and Natural Resources, George Mireku Duker has today, Saturday, April 16 made a cash donation of GH¢ 50,000 to Medeama Sporting Club.

In the company of the Deputy Minister at the Forecourt of Medeama SC Head Office, were the Municipal Chief Executive Officer of Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly and former Administrator of Medeama Sc, Benjamin Kessie, the Constituency Chairman of NPP, other party officials, and party faithfuls.

Among other things, Hon. Duker, who frontier to seeing Goldfields Ghana Limited give the Tarkwa TNA Park a modern look pledged his willingness to continuously rally behind the club through diverse means and also called on companies with Tarkwa to extend their support to the club.

In other related issues, the MP for Tarkwa revealed Goldfields Ghana limited’s readiness to release a sum of $150,000 sponsorship money which has seen a delay in payment to Medeama SC in the near future, while setting up the tone and invitation to companies and individuals to aid in securing a new bus for the Yellow and Mauves team.

Receiving the cash donation for and on behalf of the club was the President of the club, Mr. Moses Armah popularly known as Mospacka, and Vice Board Chairman, Mr. Sackey in the presence of Kojo Ala, Owner of Mobik Energy, Kabii, technical team, players and supporters of the club, who expressed their profound gratitude to the MP and in return for the kind gestures also presented the club’s replica jerseys to the MP and MCE.

In response to the call of the Deputy Minister for the players to win tomorrow’s GPL game away from home against Legon Cities at the El Wak Stadium, the Captain and administrator of Medeama SC assured all who were gathered at the ceremony of their readiness to return to Tarkwa with the three maximum points, while thanking the MP on behalf of the playing body.
